AWARENESS ENABLED

420,000,000 tons is a global annual production of paper and cardboard.

Producing 1 kilo of paper requires 2-3 times its weight in trees. In Europe an average person uses 200 kilos of paper every year.

ONE LIVELONG NOTEBOOK SAVES ONE TREE

One tree is about 0.3 cubic meters of wood. Such amount of wood is used to produce around 100-150 regular A4 size notebooks.

To produce such amount of notebooks requires around 100 cubic meters of water and 200 kWh of electricity.

One Livelong notebook replaces 10, 100, 1000 (depends on you), let's say 100 regular notebooks because you can reuse it over and over again.

Conclusion - One Livelong notebook saves around 100 cubic meters of water, 200 kWh of electricity and One Tree.

AWARENESS ENABLED

The environmental effects of paper production include deforestation, the use of enormous amounts of energy and water as well as air pollution and waste problems. Paper accounts for around 26 percent of total waste at landfills.

AWARENESS ENABLED

Paper is quite simple to recycle, yet 55 percent of the global paper supply comes from newly cut trees.

Each ton of recycled paper can avoid the use of 17 trees; 1,440 liters of oil; 2.3 cubic meters of landfill space; 4,000 kilowatts of energy and 26,500 liters of water.

WHY LIVELONG

WHY EACH TREE IS SO IMPORTANT

Today, only 4 billion hectares of the global forest are left. The world has lost one-third of its forest from the beginning of human civilization.

Today forests cover 35 percent of the global land area. 5000 years ago it was about 55 percent. If we continue our current rate of deforestation, the Earth will be completely barren of trees in just over 300 years.
